Good luck catching the miscreant.
Theres something running aroundbin my attic at nifhr.
If you hear noise in the wall it s often rodents.
If you hear fluttering and chirping it could be bats or birds.
Read more about the types of animal noises in the attic.
Mostly light scampering and running across the ceiling or up and down the walls.
This one is a little more vague but of course thumping usually comes from larger animals so it s most likely from raccoons or opossums.
And then we had a legion of squirrels living in the attic right next to my bedroom and i could hear them running around with their little scratching feet night after night.
I have heard it at random times not always the same.
Raccoons are also most likely to make vocal noises.
Rats and mice are nocturnal so the noise is almost always at night.
If the noise is a fast pitter patter at night especially if there s any noise going up and down the walls then it s likely rats or mice though it could be flying squirrels.
If you hear thumping in your attic at night it s most likely a larger animal such as a raccoon or opossum engaged in jumping from one area of the attic to another actively shoving or destroying something or dragging something heavy.
If during the day do you hear running around and rolling sounds.
Usually i hear what sounds like a marble or something round being dropped and then rolling down and often that is followed by a running sound.
Their movement is also very fast.
Squirrels will often be heard rolling nuts or other debris around in the attic during the day.
It doesn t sound like there are multiple creatures up there but i have a huge rodent phobia so it freaks me out.
There must have been nearly a dozen of the little.
They can be very fast and you might at times think your mind is playing tricks on you.
